Multilingualism SA is a dedicated business platform for local and international dialogue on multilingualism. The purpose of this platform will be to bring together thought leaders drawn from people and organisations who are recognised for innovative ideas around matters language; people and organisations who are prepared to confidently promote multilingual practices in the business environment, with the view of debating issues, developing and recognising best practice as well as contributing to research and development in this field.

In line with the empowerment philosophy of Smartserve Enterprises, Multilingualism SA subscribes to the country’s broad-based black economic empowerment agenda. Our service providers are treated as independent entrepreneurs. From time to time, we arrange workshops, in partnership with relevant institutions, for our service providers, with a view to sharpening their business management skills, at no or minimal cost to them.
Currently, the division has two full-time employees and a panel of 13 independent service providers, which include translators, editors, interpreters, copywriters, and specialist advisers. It is envisaged that the full-time staff complement will increase to five by the end of the current calendar year.

Multilingualism SA intends to align itself with various charitable organisations as part of its social responsibility. To that end, deliberate efforts are being made to identify organisations and institutions that could benefit from our activities.

Accessibility: our clients are free to contact us 24-hours a day throughout the year. They are also free to share their complaints, compliments, suggestions and satisfaction levels with us openly or anonymously, as the case may be.

Continuous improvement: Client suggestions and ideas are always welcome, assessed and are used for continuously improving the quality of our services.
Confidentiality: All client information is treated confidentially and our company and staff are always prepared to sign non-disclosure agreements if required.
Quality is one of the key values of our company. We will strive to be ISO 9001 certified by 2017. To achieve this we will work closely with our clients to establish their needs and execute on them. Our Quality Management System currently includes the following criteria:
